DVD Movie Rental for Week Nights

It has become somewhat of a tradition to search out films my roommate and I have never seen and watch them after work during the week. We both love movies and it is an inexpensive way to wind down before going to bed. The cool thing about 2010 is the online DVD movie rental. I can literally shop around for the next movie we want to see while watching an Oscar winner in the living room. We watched Green Zone the other night. Talk about an intense look into what Baghdad was like when we all believed there were weapons of mass destruction hidden in Iraq. Matt Damon played the role of a soldier bent on uncovering the truth better than anyone else could have. The movie runs a little bit long but I do suggest it to anyone who enjoys war films. It is a mature movie due to violence and language but that is expected from this genre.

I’m not sure how we are going to start this week out. My roommate has been taking care of the DVD movie rentals as of late. Book of Eli looks like a good choice. Matter of fact, I have to ask him to rent that one if he hasn’t already.

This past weekend I found myself so frustrated that there was absolutely nothing on television. I’d been so busy that week that I hadn’t even taken the time to look and see what was coming on television so that I could order a DVD movie rental from online. I ended up spending the evening online going through different movies that I haven’t seen and adding them all to my DVD movie rental list. I figured that with it being summer that there probably were going to be other nights when there wasn’t much on the television, so I placed an order to have a DVD movie rental arrive for this upcoming weekend. I know it’s only the first of the week, but at least this time I’ll be prepared and not caught without anything to watch once the weekend arrives. The two movies that I chose are actually two that I’ve been wanting to see for a while, so regardless of how great the weather is, I’m going to invite some girlfriends over and have a DVD movie rental evening. I’ll make some brownies and pick up a few other things and we’ll have a great night of fun and laughter.

One of the two greatest achievements in the history of mankind is the ablity to make moving pictures and turn them into feature movies. The other great achievement is the invention of the Internet. With the Internet, I can combine my two favorite things. Buying cheap DVD movies and being able to do it at home is one of the greatest joys in my life. My DVD collection now stands at over 500 DVD's and most of them came from online shops that sell cheap DVD movies.

My collection started 10 years ago and I have been averaging about 50 movies a year. That average has been helped by the last two years of buying cheap DVD movies online. My collection contains movies in a wide variety of genres. My husbands favorites, though, would have to be action, comedy, and horror. Included in that are movies that he will hardly ever watch. They are the movies that I call "marriage savers". These are the movies that my husband wants me have. I have a huge collection of DVDs. I enjoy movies very much and when I find an actor or actress that I like, I try to get all of the movies they are in. The same goes when I find a director or producer that can constantly capture my attention. As a result, my friends often ask me to suggest or lend them a movie. Because it is hard to keep track of all of my movies, I got into the habit of DVD burning.

With DVD burning, I can duplicate a movie as soon as I buy it. This way I am not concerned about the original DVDs getting scratched or lost. I love knowing that because of DVD burning I can share my movies with my friends without worrying about the originals.

DVD burning has allowed me to share so many movies with my friends while maintaining my large DVD collection. I even have a separate movie rack to hold all of my burned DVDs. I enjoy DVD burning and the result of being able to share the wonderful gift of cinema with my family and friends.

It does not rain often in the part of Arizona I am from. In fact, rain is almost a special occasion to us adults. For a child, a rainy weekend day can be devastating. There is only so much to play with inside and it is not the same as the toys that can be played with outside and in the sunshine.

I used to nanny for a family with a son and a daughter. The daugher had dance to keep her busy, but the son was too young for sports or lessons. One weekend, their parents went out of town and asked if I would watch them. I agreed and we made lists of all of the fun things we were going to do. The next morning we woke up to monsoon rains. I check the weather and saw that the rain was there for the weekend. We felt so deflated until the young boy suggested a movie. I knew I could not afford to take us to a theater, but I could afford a cheap DVD movie.

We made a mad dash to my car and went to the nearest cheap DVD movie store we could find. We eached picked out a cheap DVD movie that we all thought we would like. When we got rang up for the cheap DVD movies, we saw that we had enough left for pizza and snacks. We went home and watched our first cheap DVD movie before ordering pizza and making a slumber party of the whole weekend. When their parents got home, they expected us all to be restless and bored of being inside. Instead we were watching another cheap DVD movie we had bought the day before. We had a great weekend inside with each other and cheap DVD movies.

Deciding What A Mature Movie Is

I grew up watching a lot of classical and family movies. I have seen almost every musical ever made into a movie and released before the 1980s. I never saw anything with more ethan a "G" rating until I was a teenager. My parents believed that a mature movie is better suited for a mature audience.

When I got into high school, I understood what they meant. One of my English classes focused on Shakespeare and his stories. We watched one of the movies that was made from his writing, but had to sign a permission slip as a result of its mature movie rating. I did not understand what made it a mature movie until after it was over. I asked the teacher why it was a considered a mature movie and she explained that throughout time, the movie ratings have gotten more lenient. A mature movie from the year that movie came out would not be considered a mature movie now.

I went home and asked my parents to confirm or deny this. They were pleasantly surprised that my teacher was so respectful in asking permission for their children to view the movie, despite its outdated rating. They agreed that a mature movie that was released awhile back would have content in it that would be in a family rated movie now. I learned that a mature movie is such because of its content and not its rating.

We Stopped Getting Our DVD Movie Rentals From A Certain Bricks And Mortar Store

There is a popular bricks and mortar store which my husband and I used to use for DVD movie rental. We decided to stop using this DVD movie rental store quite recently because we noticed that they very rarely have any new titles and their customer service has gone downhill. We know that these new titles exist because we catch the previews and want to see them. These days we only order DVD movie rentals online from a few different sources. We have found that doing things this way is more convenient and it is also easier to find the new titles that we would like to see. This is a big deal for us because both my husband and I are huge film fans so we rent a large number of DVD movie rentals. We have kids living at home with us so we watch a DVD movie rental almost every night since we cannot really go out unless we find a sitter. What’s more we do not watch much regular television. We need a good reliable source of DVD movie rentals to keep us entertained at home.

It's late Sunday morning and the kids just got back from the store with DVD movie rentals, so that takes care of this afternoon's entertainment. We love to take an afternoon each weekend where we either lay around the house reading or join the whole family in front of the home theater to watch DVD movie rentals. This afternoon it's going to be a little warm out, too warm for me to be doing yard work, so I'm glad the kids got a couple of new releases for us to watch.

Since the kids did the work of getting the DVD movie rentals, I'll spend a little bit of time in the kitchen whipping up some nice snacks and beverages. Since we put together our fantastic home theater, we have enjoyed the benefits of watching movies at home eating healthy snacks. We still eat the popcorn, but not cooked in oil and swimming in butter. We'll also enjoy some iced red tea which is also a thousand times healthier than soda, so all in all, watching DVD movie rentals has had a really positive impact on our physical health and family bonds.

I enjoy watching all kinds of movies whether they be current Oscar winners or screwball comedies, I have always made an extreme effort to enjoy as many movies as I can. Although I recently discovered that my movie habit is quite expensive. Movie prices have grown significantly causing me to cut back on my DVD purchases. That is until my roommate introduced me to his ability to burn DVDs. This discovery could not have come at a better time, because many of this years Oscar winners came out on DVD, and I was really disappointed that I was not going to be able to watch them all due to financial reasons. Usually, I get as many Oscar winners or Oscar nominees as I can and complete a big movie marathon. Thankfully my roommate Sean showed me his capability to burn DVDs, and we got started. DVD burning is extremely easy and cost effective. Sean told me he saves hundreds of dollars a month with simple DVD burning techniques. Last week, Sean and I put together a list of this years Oscar winners and nominees and started are collection. Were going to start with this years best picture winner The Hurt Locker, which I could not be more excited because I have not seen this film yet.

Protecting Our Children From Mature Movies

My three children are the light of my life and I would go to any length to keep them protected. I always make sure to have blocks on the internet and I am adamant about shielding them from mature movies. Other parents may do what they like, as I do not judge others, but I still want my kids to only watch appropriate films.

My oldest child just entered seventh grade, so he is allowed to watch PG. However, the other two kids may only see G. When my children are invited to go play at a friend's house, I always make sure to ask the parents what they allow their child to watch. If they watch R and PG13 movies in their home, I politely tell them about our rule. I have never met a parent who does not respect my stance.

My kids have been able to hold onto their youth longer than many kids today, and it was as easy as protecting them from mature movies and other adult media. Kid's movies are just as entertaining as the mature movies that adults tend to prefer. In our house, we have a wonderful time watching family friendly movies together.

In our family, we really understand the importance of stretching a dollar. We have always helped each other out with our finances. One of the things that we do to help each other out financially, is also a way that we help entertain each other. We all take turns buying movies and then using DVD burning to share.

By using DVD burners, we are able to share not only movies, but we also share home videos as well. I can not imagine being able to go out the theater on a regular basis or constantly rent or buy new movies, so DVD burning is perfect for us. We always have movie nights where everyone in the extended family takes turns hosting. We love to spend time together making big dinners and awesome desserts, then we sit down to watch our favorite movies together.

I really do not feel as though DVD burning is a bad thing. There is no way that a family could afford their entertainment any other way. I know for a fact that we could not. Plus it makes for great opportunities to spend time together!

Last month my young daughter asked me to have her first slumber party. I knew that the day was coming, but I did not feel ready to have a bunch a seven year olds running around my house. Still, I said yes and began to make arrangements with all of the parents. After calling up all of the adults, I began to make a list of activities to keep the girls busy. On the very top of the list was DVD movie rentals.

I knew that if the girls could sit through even one movie rental, I would at least get a little time to rest and re-energize. I picked out several Disney DVD movie rentals and called the parents back to see if there were any concerns with my choices. Since everyone was fine with the DVD movie rentals I chose, I continued on with my planning.

I am very happy and surprised to say that the slumber party went perfectly. The girls were so well behaved and they had a great time. I had ordered pizza and put on one of the DVD movie rentals, then all I had to do was sit back and relax. It was so much fun to watch a movie with the kids, I actually felt young again.

Making A Movie List Of Oscar Winners

My boyfriend and I have spent the last five years making lists and completing them. I know it sounds kind of funny to most people, but completing lists has been a really fun and interesting past time for us. We have done everything from trying a beer from each country to photographing each national park hot spot in the United States. We have each learned so much information about the most random things and we love it!

The latest task we have undertaken, is that we want to watch a film from each Oscar winner. I know that it might take some time, but exploring the fame of each Oscar winner is something that I am extremely excited about. We have begun by making a list of winners names and the name of the movie they won for. We made sure to list everything in the order of release date, and we have already started to watch some of the films.

Watching Oscar winner's movies is something that is interesting for so many reasons. I really feel that I am sharing history with my boyfriend, and he agrees. We love the fact that we are educating ourselves on the past and what made celebrities successful then, as opposed to what makes them successful now. Exploring all of the Oscar winner's works of art is one of the most interesting and entertaining things I have ever done.

For years, my husband and I chose to have our date nights out at the movies. We would go all out and buy candy, snacks and huge sodas. However, with the changing economic times, we have found it more and more difficult to go out on a regular basis. We still go to the movies here and there, but now we have found a better past time that does not cost nearly as much. In the last year we have accumulated a very nice collection of cheap DVD movies and we create our own great date night at home.

We have so much fun making dinner together and sitting in front of the tv to watch one of our many cheap DVD movies. We never feel bored or miss going out all of the time. Our couch is far more comfortable than sitting in a movie theater seat, plus there was something else that changed when we began to watch our cheap DVD movies at home. Both my husband and I lost weight after we stopped going out the the movie theater!

MOVIE TITLES ON THE HIGHWAY IN NEW YORK

I think I'm addicted to owning movies. My addiction started in 1983 when I got my first VCR. I began to collect movies right away. At that time it was very costly to purchase a VHS movie so I satisfied my addiction by copying movies off of the cable system. Unfortunately the cable picture quality was poor so the copies I made were not anywhere as good as a cheap DVD movie nowadays. I still have my VHS tape collection that numbers in the thousands. I don't know what to do with all of those tapes. I was thinking of doing a mass DVD burning session and saving a select number of my VHS tapes but I now have an HD DVR cable box and an excellent DVD recorder hooked into my home theater system. I also have my computer hooked up to play and record media. Every once in a while I will go online and get a DVD movie rental especially if I want to see an Oscar winner. The quality of online DVD movie rentals is far superior than anything you might watch on cable or satellite. Many old Oscar winners are available for purchase among the vast numbers of online cheap DVD movies.

My teenagers think they know it all, much like most teenagers today. It's comical to listen to their view on life and their answers to the world's problems. Sometimes when I am watching a mature movie, my daughter wants to watch it with me. I often discourage her because I really don't want her exposed to too many adult situations in movies, but she frequently voices her opinion that she can handle watching a mature movie. She even thinks she can solve some of the situations in the movie.

I recently let her watch a mature movie with me that had a situation with young people who were becoming emotionally involved after only having known each other for a short time. The movie didn't have any explicit scenes, but did have some mature situations that were difficult. I decided to let my daughter watch it with me and used it as an opportunity for a teaching moment. The idea worked well and it opened up a discussion dialogue with us about a lot of "what ifs." I'm glad the opportunity came and I was willing to risk her watching a mature movie in order to show her how life works.

My family and I recently moved from Arizona to northwest Arkansas. Needless to say it has been many years since any of us had seen snow and when new reports predicted several inches of the white stuff, we did our best to prepare.

We stocked up on batteries and candles just in case of power outage and plenty of staples just in case we couldn’t leave the house. What we didn’t plan was our entertainment. With small children in the house, we found boredom quickly set in. With nearly a foot of snow accumulation, the prospect of driving to town wasn’t in the near future. Mom to the rescue!

I went online and quickly found several cheap DVD movies and a DVD movie rental site. I ordered several children movies and even a mature movie for myself. I was surprised how many websites also offered DVD burning options and downloaded several movies to my computer. I chuckle at how content my children are when occupied with a great family movie and how an Oscar winner can even maintain my own sanity. Mission accomplished!

Snowed In With A Good DVD Movie Rental

With the snow falling outside my window, I snuggle up in my fluffy blanket, laptop in hand. Mission . . . to find a great online DVD movie rental. Overnight four more inches of snow fell and its going on day two that my family has been snowed in. Believe me, having access to the Internet to find cheap DVD movies is the only thing keeping my family from going stir crazy.

With the prospect of leaving the house in the next few days minimal, I’m on the search for an Oscar winner to occupy our time. My son has been in his room DVD burning his favorite sitcoms while I search for a more mature movie for us grown-ups. In no time at all I find a movie that will make everyone happy and quickly order my online movie rental. As the snow insulates us from the outside world, we sit down in the warmth of our home to watch our movie rental and jokes run rampant that we will soon be reliving the old Jack Nicholson movie The Shining!

Our whole family loves to watch movies in the theaters and in DVD movie rentals. My family saw many of the new releases in the theaters this past holiday season. I know I will buy some of these good films when they become cheap DVD movies and add them to our collection. This week in the southwest it is going to be very rainy. This much needed rainy weather is perfect to get cozy on the couch with family and choose a DVD movie rental to watch as the rain comes down. We have missed prior Oscar winners on DVD and will see if we can rent some of those. When my kids were small, we used to have movie night on Fridays with pizza and popcorn. We would watch family DVD movie rentals and many times afterward the kids would be ready for bed. Those days are long gone, but watching our own cheap DVD movies or renting them is still on our list as fun things to do as a group, especially when it is cold and rainy outside.
